This summer has been crazy busy and my poor photography blog has been showing the signs. Most of you know I had the pleasure of hosting a photography workshop with some amazing ladies! I don’t have much time to write or post the amazing images from the workshop yet but want to share a few …..stay tuned for a full post in the near future. Last week I got the pleasure of meeting up with Alice and her Mama. Not only was it great to spend the afternoon watching Alice explore, but it gave her mama and I had plenty of time to catch up and remissness about our high school days. I do have to say at 18 months Alice is quite the ham for the camera.

I have been photographing so many urban locations with my seniors lately I was thrilled to have a country setting this time around. One one of my random drives I spotted an old abandoned barn and with some really yummy light coming from everywhere. I knew that instant it was perfect for Mikala’s shoot. Mikala had her Boyfriend meet up with us at the end of the evening for a few couple shots. Are they not just the best looking couple ever. I couldn’t have been happier with these all the images from her senior session and I hope she adores her photographs as much as I do.

This family session has been a long time coming! We waited and waited and waited some more on good weather.  Spring finally arrived and I definitely think these photos were worth the wait . I hope the McClure’s did too! I am really loving the black and white pictures recently….what do you think?

Well summer is here (insert a happy dance), and I am a busy busy girl. Just the way I like it! This weekend is even busier then usual. 5 shoots in one weekend. “Woman are you mad ??” That’s what my husband asked me. The answer is no I am not. I decided I wanted to give back. Normally I would never take on that many shoots in such a short time, but when there is a good cause I just can’t help myself. All the info is here . I also hope everyone read the information about the workshop here. It is a wonderful opportunity to get some great pictures!! Anyhow on to the point of this post of course …….PICTURES!!! I am so excited I almost can’t sit still! This has been in the works for months and months and to me that feels like years.  Can you tell I am very happy about this?  So what is this you ask? I am holding a workshop with the fabulous girls with a camera. For you of those that don’t know what a workshop really is I’ll give you the short version.  For this one we are getting 9 awesome photographers together from WI, MN, ND, IL , IA and AZ ! Then we are adding the fantastic Wende Trew and Kandi LaMont as our teachers.  We will be shooting families, seniors, couples, and a few tweens. The participants will get group as well as one on one training while shooting sessions.  The best part is this workshop is going to be a retreat of sorts, we are all staying in 2 cabins on a Lake Nebagamon! Campfires and s’mores for all as we discuss shooting,  photo editing, and client interactions.  I am so excited to finally meet, in person, the great ladies I get to call my computer friends and soak up as much information as I can over the weekend. OK enough about me on to you guys!! I need your help. We need people to photographso  I am looking for

~two families (kids over 7 please) to let us practice on for the morning of Saturday June 25th at a location in Lake Nebagamon …a family with boy / girl  siblings is bonus

~two couples for sessions the morning of Sunday June 26th at a location in in Lake Nebagamon or Iron River (have to see how dry the locations will be ekkk)

~we are also looking for a tween boy (11-14 yrs old) for an evening session Sunday June 26th in Hawthorne

Ok the good stuff ……….<–that’s a drum-roll LOL !

For your participation you get to meet all my fabulous photography friends !!! Just kidding!!! Each participant will receive a minimum of 5 fully edited digital images with print release!

This little lady has a special spot in my heart.  She is one of the happiest kiddos I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Lil’ L loves animals and Yo Gabba Gabba. She like to help her Mama in the gardens and look for sheds with her Daddy.  The day of our mini session she came complete with a throw back hair do …doesn’t it remind you of Farrah Fawcett hair on charlies angels???
